The boring details: The New Year has brought us......my beautiful Logan sick with pneumonia, wine husband losing his biggest client...aka losing his ____(rhymes with bob)...two computers biting the dust, a digital camera on it's last legs, my host screwing up my website wyanne.com...and upcoming dentist, orthodontist, eye doctor, and new tire challenges....that's enough lemons...don't you think...



On to make some lemonade...

Nature Lover Fairy

I just finished this little painting the other day. It was inspired by my 6 year old daughter, Logan. She is crazy about nature. On her Thankgiving Thanks list, she was thankful for nature. I am amazed by this, because as her mom...I am prone to an over dramatized diva fear of bugs...grass makes me itchy...and I don't do well camping. But, her...she could live outside. I guess she gets this from Wine Husband.

This painting is on wood and I used the collage technique with the Asian papers. I put her up in my shop.

My website hosting company went down and have been down for over 24 hours. For some reason if you put the www in front of wyanne.com...it shows a under construction page. But, if you just type in wyanne.com...it shows up. I'm hoping they get this resolved quickly....or I'm going to have to change hosts. Any suggestions?

Well, time to get back to the home front. My little Logan is home sick and feeling really bad. :(Pin It

My Namesake

Over the holidays, I got a wonderful, unexpected email from a lady named Anne...about my namesake. She raises puppies for Canine Companions for Independence, an organization that provides service dogs to people with disabilities. She told me that the names of the dogs are always very important, but not always recognizable. It just so happens that her newest 11 week old lab golden cross is named Wyanne. I feel so honored. Isn't she adorable! My heart has melted....

a new little painting

I just finished this little painting. It's a little one, only 7 1/4" x 2 3/4" on wood. I really love the way it came out. The leaves on the tree are collaged from translucent Asian paper, and I left the bird the color of the natural wood. I just listed it in my Etsy shop...so have a look.

Things are still a whirlwind from the Holidays...with the Universe sending us unexpected news for Wine Husband's business. But, when one door closes...the Universe opens a million more...right? ....trying not to stress too much....

I'm still trying to get caught up on shipments, emails, comments and commissions. So it's back to work for me. I'm so glad I love what I do....just wish there were more hours in a day. If you are waiting to hear from me...I PROMISE I'll be in touch soon.

Happy New Year!

Wow...the holidays came and went fast! We had lots of out of town guests over the past few weeks. Today is the first day back in the studio for work, and it's only a half day because I promised to help take down the Christmas decorations. I did squeeze in some time to make this little Gocco print. It's a limited edition of 30, that I just put up in the Etsy store. It's brown ink on a ecru cardstock measuring 5 1/2" x 4". I then hand colored the flowers and bows. It came out really sweet. I've got to get back to work on some orders while I still have some of my art day left. :) But, I just wanted to say Hi and Happy New Year to everyone. I love you! WyPin It
