"She Wants to See New Things"This is the second week of the Karma giveaway. And I have a 2nd giclee print to give away.
I have to tell you....I am amazed at the love, gratitude and positive energy that has been sent my way. I have to admit, that I didn't think things would be this way. I expected to have short, little comments left on the post...but I didn't expect the full, heartfelt, loving notes that have been left for me.
On the first day of last week's giveaway...I was overwhelmed by the comments and response. I panicked. I had put my goal out there for the world to see...and what if I couldn't do it. What if I let everyone down? I was paralyzed. I couldn't paint, I couldn't create. It was horrible. I wasted an entire day worrying about it.
The next morning, I received an unexpected email from the amazing Mentalist, Meraux Dantes. Remember I wrote about meeting him a few posts ago? Anyway...here's what he wrote in the email:
This monk had went up to the mountains to look for a master to liberate him.
He sat and meditated for 5 years.
one day, a master came up to the mountains and asked the monk what he was doing.
"I have been meditating here for 20 years waiting for master so and so to come and liberate me..."
" Ahh, well you are in luck, I am master so and so..." said the master.
The monk was floored. "Master this is wonderful, please liberate me... I have been here for all this time to be set free... please, let me be free..."
The master asked the monk, " Who has you contained?"
" ... No one " the monk answered.
" Ahh " smiled the master... " then you are free!"
It was just what I needed. How does he know these things? Anyway...I started a new visualization. I imagined all your comments as feathers that help me fly. I imagine them taking me to all the places that I want to go. I think you will be seeing these feathers in my new paintings too....
So, thank you Meraux for your gift, and thanks to all of you for your heartfelt comments...they are truly lifting me up and taking me to new places. I am painting, and painting, and painting.
